Team Member
As a Maintenance Team Member, you must have a love for the outdoors. Each and every day, your senses will be heightened as you enter pleasant outdoor environments at our residential clients’ home – keeping them looking attractive, orderly and healthy. You will learn a lot about horticulture, maintenance efficiency and the plants & trees themselves! Typical tasks include grass cutting, leaf clean-ups, trimming, pruning and other tasks that a client may ask for.
Expectations:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Operate various tools and equipment, including blowers, trimmers, mowers, pruners, hand tools, etc.
- Gardening of beds and mowing lawns
- Loads and unloads materials, tools and equipment required to complete daily tasks
- Transports materials using wheelbarrows, carts, buckets and had lifting/carrying
- Wears appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Complies with all company policies and regulations
- Works in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Cleans, tidies and ensure job sites, trucks, equipment are kept clean and sparkling

Apprentice
We are certified Supervision and Sign-off Authority 00010-LHQ-20 for the ITA BC Landscape Horticulturist Trade Program.
Apprentices participate in all of the day-to-day tasks required to complete landscape projects – while getting an education at the same time. Approximately 80% of your training will happen on-the-job, with the other 20% completed in school over two 12 week semesters. You’ll use the skills you learn directly on-site as well as teach other team members.
Expectations:

Crew Lead Hand
As you mature and grow in your role, the next step up is the Lead Hand position. On top of daily maintenance, Lead Hands also oversee a group of workers assigned to them – making sure that their team carries out their work technically, ethically and in a timely manner. Tasks include keeping timesheets.

- Ability to work all equipment and tools required on a landscape project

Crew Foremen
Crew Foremen work closely with the Operations Manager to make sure every maintenance job is delivered on-time and on budget. You must have an eye for details in this critical role. Tasks include submitting timesheets, monitoring crew activities and keeping track of materials used.

- Training & Overseeing work done by Team Members
- Directs activities on job site and coordinates the work flow and what needs to be done that day
- Able to delegate responsibilities and give detailed instructions to team members to uphold high-quality work

Operation Manager
Operation Manager oversee all maintenance crews and make sure every employee knows their duties, routes and safety protocols. You’ll be responsible for all crews, solving problems as they arise and helping with the training of new employees. Extensive horticulture knowledge and ability to train and delegate is crucial. Key skills include organization, attention to detail, scheduling and time management.

Account Manager
Account Managers are the bridge between our crews and our maintenance clients and are crucial to growth and expansion. Tasks include approving timesheets, finding opportunities for new contracts, scheduling new maintenance projects and creating documentation for smooth operations.

- Maintaining long-term, loyal client relationships with a goal of 100% retention
- Performing sit wal evaluations and meetings with customers
- Managing crews for quality control
- Preparing and presenting landscape enhancement ideas to exiting clients
